Vicksburg Historical Society

The Vicksburg Historic Village is operated by the Vicksburg Historical Society and is located near Downtown Vicksburg. The Village currently consists of a Depot, Print Shop, School House, Express Office, and a newly acquired Farm House and Barn. The goal is to acquire and restore an entire Historic Village.

Saturdays - 10 am to 3 pm
Call for individual or group appointments.

The Vicksburg Historic Village and Museum are closed for winter break and will reopen May 1, 2008

Vicksburg Historical Society Mission Statement

To procure, preserve, advance and disseminate knowledge of the history of the greater Vicksburg area. To create an appreciation of history in both children and adults through education, research, and the preservation of artifacts. To establish and maintain the Historic Village, reflecting period architecture, and the presentation of exhibits, programs and events.
